Sutera Bengals
We are a small cattery of Bengals, located in Birmingham, Alabama. Since March of 1992, my goal as a breeder of Bengals has been to put the whited tummy back on these cats.

The whited tummy is a wild trait that is usually lost after the third generation from the Asian leopard cat. I believe this is the single, most elusive gene to work with on these cats. Finally though after 12 years of perserverance, I am getting more consistant results.

Future Goals
Some of my future goals with this program would be working with other breeders with the same interest in obtaining the true whited bellies. Also I would like to see larger rosettes without losing over all type in the cat. These are pieces or steps toward the final product. Great success takes time and patience!
